Re: Superior Drummer 3 VST Crashes! Can anybody Help!

The issue sounds like your VST causes Ableton to not work properly and it terminates unexpectedly. Probably don't want that happening so if you resolve that problem then that will solve your situation. If that isn't a helpful answer, try and post some more details such as pc/mac, live version, plug...

Re: -NoVSTStartupScan option.txt not working

Am I really the only one having this issue? Or do people generally not use this option? Seems like it would be widely used since it's takes so long to boot up a set because of the vst scanning, at least for Windows users.

-NoVSTStartupScan option.txt not working

Have they gotten rid of this on 10.1? It was working fine up until this version but it's not stopping the vst scan on startup any more.

Re: VST scan every run 10.0.1

I have the same problem. The NoVstStartUpScan options text works great on my windows 7 machine but it doesn't work on my Windows 10 machine, Ableton still scans the vsts on start up.

Re: 10.1. Feedback thread

I agree with 3., seems like they just made it more awkward to work with clips, resizing, making fades. The way it was prior to 10.1 was very easy and fluid for me.

This isn't a 10.0.5 issue for me, this is just typical browser behavior since they started using this index function.

Re: Browser very slow to update with new content-bug in 10.0.5?

I saved some new files to a project folder last night and, between last night and this morning, the index process has been running for about 4-5 hours and the files still haven't shown up yet.

Strange Problem

Maybe one of you has solved this and can help me. When I hit play, the cursor/playhead goes a full beat or quarter bar before the audio actually kicks in, so the session is playing but there's no audio right away. I've tried messing with every buffer setting, using different drivers, but it's the sa...

Re: What the fuck is going on, pardon my French

No really high latency plug ins like Amp Sims and the like on one of those tracks? If you save the tracks and open them in a new project, do you still have the same issue? No, I deleted all of the plugins from the track so it was just the recorded audio and I'm getting the same result. If I had a h...

Re: What the fuck is going on, pardon my French

Check to see if the start marker inside the clip has moved at all, and is so drag it all the way to the left to line things up again. I always make sure the leftmost start marker is on the downbeat of the bar. EVen if it wasn't but all the other markers were correctly lined up to the grid, it shoul...

What the fuck is going on, pardon my French

I don't know if this has been covered here but I've been up against a problem that is changing my whole outlook on using Ableton to record music. I've been primarily making rock music, which involves recording lots of guitars and bass. Usually I'll record a track of, say, guitar, then use the warp m...

Re: Any Improvements In The Audio Engine Of Ableton Live 10?

What's funny though is that even comparison tests don't reveal the whole truth. Comparison in quality or comparison to the original mix is the most important question. It is actually possible for one to hear something that is Not exact or transparent and feel that it sounds more desirable. I agree,...

Re: Any Improvements In The Audio Engine Of Ableton Live 10?

At the same time though, every time this issue has come up over the years, I have yet to have one person who makes that claim actually able to provide files that demonstrate the difference. If it's so obvious to some people that Live sounds worse than other DAWs, why can no one provide examples? Th...

Re: Any Improvements In The Audio Engine Of Ableton Live 10?

Clearly you know very little of digital audio or you would understand I don't need to**. You're interested comparing to PT. I'm not. You made claims. I did not make those. The burden is on you. Unfortunately you seem to not be skilled enough so set up an exactly similar projects in an two DAWs. I c...
