2 GB size limit in 64-bit version of Live?

Hello, We have recorded a long drum session into multi-mic drum samples as separate 32-bit floating point PCM WAV files in the professional record studio. Each WAV would be around 2.1 GB in size. I just tried to load these samples into a Live set and Live would not allow me to do this. I found the f...

Could you please do me a favor and find a link to that thread ? I would like to read it through.

Thanks,

Re: Best Wave Editing Software Currently

I wonder if Live X (or 10, for that matter) would introduce built-in [destructive] clip editing, which would be sooo handy! And which, IMHO, should have been there since version 7 :) Back on topic: Both WaveLab and Soundforge have been the standards for a long time. But the new Wavelab misses a coup...

Ableton Live 9.2.2 64-bit does not crash here, on Mac OS X 9.5. At all.

Maybe you use wicked plugins.

Re: quickly adjust start position for all clips in a set

Thanks for the replies, guys. TomViolenz: I apologise for not being able to respond in a timely manner. Unfortunately, as you correctly stated: The only thing that is a bit inconvenient is that you can not specify the scenes by a range too. like so: [] 1-16/clip1-8 loop start 1 As S4racen correctly ...

Re: quickly adjust start position for all clips in a set

have you used clyphx before? If yes then that should be pretty straight forward. Use the "clip loop start x" action and define the clips as clip1 loop start x; clip2 loop start x ...and so on and the tracks to work on as a-b/clip1 loop start x; a-b/clip2 loop start x; .... a is the first ...

quickly adjust start position for all clips in a set

Is it possible to adjust start playing position for all clips in a live set? I was unable to figure that out. Perhaps, there's a Max for Live device that can do it?

Best wishes,

Re: Difference with spectrum analyzer on or off?

Plugins like spectrum analyzers could detect the rendering process from the host and go into bypass mode when rendering.

Re: SSDs, HDDs, and lots of conflicting info

Hello, I went for option A. I replaced internal HDD on my MacBookPro with Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB SSD and I use it for system and software. Then I have My Book Thunderbolt Duo as external drive which I configured as RAID 1 and which I use for samples. This configuration is fine for me and I recommend...

I am sorry, but The Machine requires the computer, while the AKAI MPC stuff does not. Or am I missing something?
