I've decided to get a new PC...
got plenty more juice then before.
3ghz dual core hp pavilion media center

but strangely enough...when I'm using my mouse to adjust volume or effects levels....I have to baby adjustments, real slow like, to see results in 'real time'... If I do it quickly....it will ...

I've got my main desktop/studio and my laptop...I carry live 5 on each.
I'm using my laptop for mostly pre-production...working on beats, sounds, etc... When I'm liking what i got...I'll move it on over 2 my desktop, that has considerably more power, and lay down vocals, leads and start working on ...

im having probs too.. live 5 on vista.

im running sounblaster x-fi & when i try play nothing happens...play button flashes for a sec but thats it

I'm using my m-audio keystation 88es through the plugins on live 5...so for instance if i'm laying down say a piano or bass track with the midi ...
