Wrapping Head around bank change.

OK, I still haven't got this figured. You can assign a patch/bank change to a VSTi in a clip, but I can't get it to work with anything (NI, Arturia, G-Force) I guess I've never really understood the VSTi patch list system. Can someone walk me through it?

Thanks!

Controller won't "stay" on one track.

I think this is a brainfart, but I want to use my old Faderfox LX1 to trigger Stutter edit. Any USB controller I have works great; just MIDI route the track to my Master>StutterEdit in the I/O. The Fader fox is real Midi, so it goes into my MOTU Ultralite which is FW connected. For some reason, it w...

Re: Under-desk keyboard shelf

I have 2 100 buck systems I bought a few years ago. I just removed them and Bolted a Home depot shelf to the underside. Honestly, my keyboard was never moved, no no point in having the movable drawer

Re: Electro act live - backing track

I did a duo gig over the weekend with Live, 3 keyboards and vocals. I'm always scared of computer crashes, so I wanted this bulletproof with no Vsts or FX. Basically a multitrack player. 10 audio tracks from my interface to FOH. Kick and snare in mono, plus 4 stereo tracks. Each of my 8 Live channel...

Re: Finger Remix of Two Fingers

Bassline, several sampled lines, drums and finger FWIW. I'm disappointed that professorial weinerbags with pipes and corduroy jackets have co-opted all the fun out of music. Enjoy your "lab", chin-strokers!

Finger Remix of Two Fingers

Somehow it just seemed right. What with all the fingers and such.... I kind of went apeshit with the Finger

Re: Inscrutible Finger

Yeah, there are certainly some shortcomings, but it's truly a monster. And 70 clams? It's well worth it even though I have no clue what it's doing

Inscrutible Finger

Anyone out there using the Finger, except to pick their nose? (Sorry, it really is irresistible) The manual indeed blows. I’ve got it running and it’s CAF but it’s tough to get deeply into it. Absolutely a must for Live though! OK here goes: The Finger comes with KSD’s, which would be frickin’ wonde...

Re: best USB hub

I second d-link. Doesn't look like it came out of a vending machine. Adaptor I a bit flimsy. Get a backup for live. They're cheap

APC and Live 8 hiding here somewhere

Ok I give up. I own Suite 8 and just got an APC with the
proprietary APC V 7 software.
So where do I find the V8.0.5 software?

Re: Live for Backing Tracks

Ethios and gjm, you are absolutely correct.

I will minimize to 8 "channels" by submixing some of the arrangement tracks. No point in 4 different string pads each having their own fader for example.

Damn, I LOVE that "I never touch the computer live"! That's the goal!

Live for Backing Tracks

In a fit of silliness I formed a New Order cover band. Bass, guitar and vocals are live, everything else I sequenced using only Live instruments (except for the infernal DX7 Bass which I sampled into Simpler) Now, assuming Live will chug away relatively untouched during the songs, what is the best w...

The anti F11

If F11 gives you full screen on a mac, what the heck brings it back?
