I’m working on a video project now and it pains me that I have to use Logic because it has SMPTE timecode and Ableton does not. I’ve been using Ableton for about 11 years but now I have to use Logic because of one missing feature.

I set up everything correctly, and begin to record, but no audio is recorded, until it reaches the second bar

Really need some advice
I don't know much about PDC but I know there are some people here with some insight.

I want to purchase the Alloy 2 and ozone 5 basic bundle
but as these are plug ins (and an expensive and big purchase for someone like me)
I really want to rest assured these plugs ...

I plug my microphone in and when I record there is a buzz, and hiss, a general undertone of nastiness that ruins my recordings.
My question is how do I stop this unwanted noise?

The mixdown I must admit I do find quite difficult.
But I practice and learn a bit more everyday
