This is helping me too, but I'm till confused, sorry guys!
I found the Auto tab in Kontakt and got it reading a Release parameter. Found the Configure button in Ableton but when I click the parameter in Kontakt as suggested under the configure button nothing happens.
Someone tell me what I'm ...

Just got the 15" 2.2 Quad i7 with the 7200rpm drive. Absolutely loving it so far. Highly recommended.

Re: Visual Metronome
I like Moldover's metronome. Real simple dirty great big four-point clock face type thing.
I'd love something like that!

Track Launch button??
Okay, I think I'm going completely mad here and also being very stupid.
But, I'm fairly sure I'm supposed to have a button somewhere near the bottom of each track which launches the currently selected clip on the track. However all I have is a clip stop button. So I'm thinking this must be a ...

Re: Manchester/Leeds, UK?
Sh*t I haven't been keeping an eye on this thread, I had no idea it had attracted so many posters. In answer to the question earlier: Yes please use this thread to organise meets if you like. It looks like I'm staying down south for the time being anyway. The GF has gone to Manchester after all so I ...

Re: more then one controller to a same parameter control
You can map the beat repeat's GRID knob to a range of keys/buttons/pads simply by going into MIDI map mode and holding down the first note then pressing the last note at the same time. The first note will trigger the lowest grid value, the last note will trigger the highest grid value and the other ...

Re: more then one controller to a same parameter control
I'd like this feature too. But I'd like to be able to map controller buttons to a continuous parameter. (I want to have my APC20 (in note mode) trigger different settings of the Grid parameter of a Beat Repeat.
For example: Note C1 = 1/32, Note C#1 = 1/8, Note D1 = 1/6... etc.
I'm sure I saw this ...

Re: Cue Points
I agree, the "multiplle clips per song" thing seems a very inefficient way of working with cue points from the MIDI controllers point of view. I'm going to try it and see how I get on, but I have a feeling it'll be clumsy even with my APC20.

Interesting idea. Gonna try that myselfrbmonosylabik wrote:Otherwise you could try using some of Live's Overdrive or Saturator along with a Vinyl on some acoustic drum samples.

Re: Change pitch without changing duration in Simpler/Sampler?
You can also drop the sample in as a session view clip. With warp switched on you can make copies of the clip with different transposition settings. (transposing warped clips doesn't affect their duration) You can then drag the resulting files into Sampler, giving you a multisampled instrument. You ...

Re: Whats that effect? Again.
The only way I can think to do that is to reverse your sample, add some delay, bounce the result to a new file (with the delay) then reverse the bounced file back again. If you use a high feedback on your delay unit/plugin you'll have a nice long file you can cut to size when you bounce it back ...

Re: Live 6 + Snow Leopard
....I tell a lie about the updates! I've got Live 6.0.1. Just seen 6.0.11 in the Latest versions section so I'll have a go with that, though judging by the Snow Leopard FAQ it's not supported anyway.
Can anyone clarify this?
