okay, I won't release any sources because the solution that's working for me now requires admin-authorisations and introduces system security leaks.

However, I really wish there would be a preference setting for live where these annoying "do-you-want-to-save-your-changes" and "restore-last-setup ...

you might be able to achieve absoluteyness by going full screen with your QC composition window, or by making its dimensions close to those of the trackpad.

and i wouldn't call them hacks. they are legit QC plugins, likely built off the QC plugin project templates that Apple provides in XCode. one minute Apple is encouraging people to develop QC plugins and now they are asking that they don't? sounds weird to me.

you can resize the window to fill the entire screen, set the window to transparent and ignore the mouseclicks ("click-through" mode).

you'd probably need to learn how to script with applescript, and learn if the things you wanted to script within Live were scriptable with it
