I've had an Axiom 25 for about 7 months now, overall I've been really impressed with it although I haven't used it as much as I thought I would before buying it. The build quality and feel of the keys is outstanding. It's not as portable as I thought it would be though, it's really bulky next to ...

I'm trying to figure this out also. I'm trying to move a guitar sample up an octave but when I raise the transpose it still sounds out of key.. thanks in advance for any guidance.

This happens where you try to change parameters on devices directly that have automation already set up. To get back to normal, hit the "return to automation" key at the top of the screen(it will be red).

For a complete explanation look in the manual for "return to arrangement". I also have a ...

Automation Problem - Help

hey, I've been using Ableton for a few years, this tiny problem manages to constantly elude me. When I'm working in arrangement view on dj type mixes adjusting envelopes, the entire envelop will gray out and be negated (as in, doesn't do anything). On the track indicator there's a white dot which I ...

I know what you mean, I had to hunt for a good piano synth (I found pianoteq which is great, check out the free trial). All of those instruments are included on the essential instrument collection though.

Um, did I say that I payed $2K? No.

I'm saying that's what PC Audiolabs, Sweetwater's Creation Statrions, Music XPC et all were in the ballpark of charging for these specs at the time. And yes, that's a major rip-off...hence them not getting my money.

You came in the thread all like "my ...

I can say nothing but good things about my new PC from Jim Roseberry of Purrrfect Audio! Jim's a great guy, and gave me an *unbelievable* price on my new machine. This thing's a monster, and can take a quad-core chip as a direct drop-in replacement later on if I want.

The first question to ask is: what's your budget? Here are some general guidelines that I'd recommend for a computer you're building for Ableton (or any kind of audio production/performance):

- Intel Core2Duo (preferably Santa Rosa) processor
- 2gb of RAM
- As much hard drive capacity as you need ...
