Well first of all thanks for all the answers!!

Use vst versions of Mac pluggins. Projects will transfer across keeping all the sounds the same. If you use AUs on the Mac, it won't recognise the instrument is the same. Many companies allow you to have the programs installed on two computers ...

Hey there

I usually work with ableton on a PC, and now I'm considering buying a new laptop (macbook).
Now I've heard that in some cases, the compatibility between Windows and Mac OS X isn't always very good,
but I've no idea what it's like with music softwares.

Mastering filthy/dirty sound?

Hey there!

Hopefully someone knows and answer to this, because as far as I know there wasn't any discussion about it.
My problem is that every time I turn up the volume a bit louder, the filthy/dirthy sound on a instrument (for example Ableton's Operator)
starts hurting my ears, which makes it ...
