Lately I'm in a big search for best Live controller. I wasn't interested in a pice of gear which is useful just for one task. Especially for the price like this. Now, when I saw the videos of Stray and his NativeKontrol for Push, I'm impressed!
Since you have a note sequencer it is far best thing ...

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
Well, real clock issues are with no significance here.
Yes, I can say, that it is drifting around 0.05 BPM constantly, but in our setup, this is no issue.
I read about problems about slaving Live to external clock, but so far, it is OK.
I would like to see more control over external clock ...

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
Ok, after long time and lots of experimentation I decided to review some of my workaround in case there is someone with the same issues and want to work this out. (it is long replay)
I discovered that session view is no good for this.
Now I do everything in arrangement view with great help ...

Re: Anyone using a RME Fireface 800 on LIVE 8?
I had no chance to test all this, so I did not ignore any of options.
Hopefully I could do this today. No I will try it out.
Anyway, I hate long cables just because they are mess.
Thanx for all the support! I really appreciate your help.
I will report soon!

Re: Anyone using a RME Fireface 800 on LIVE 8?
@ Fishmonkey
I think there is no problem in A/D D/A converters since I can do this just with FF800 and there is no latency. The problem is connection between Live and FF800.
My signal flow is Minibrute-FF800-Live-FF800-Moog Delay-FF800-Main Monitors, so what is going out of Delay is monitored ...

Re: Anyone using a RME Fireface 800 on LIVE 8?
In preferences/Audio/Driver type, I use Core Audio.
Is this a problem?
Should I use FF driver instead? And if, how can I do this?
I don't remember any special installation of my FF800 on mac. Of curse I downloaded drivers for FF, but maybe I should make
some adjustments in preferences/audio-MIDI ...

Re: Anyone using a RME Fireface 800 on LIVE 8?
I have a question...
I have a very little experience with things like DAWs and sound cards.
In Live 8.2.2+Fireface 800 I have a horrible delay if I use external gear (for example delay effect) on Return tracks.
And I have the same problem with direct monitoring in Live. I'm not sure how many ms ...

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
Hahahaha! Yes! You can dance to 23/8 if you know how to divide it
We have a project based on fu**ed up grooves. It used to be dance oriented music, but we call it something like can't dance
. I'm not sure how to say this in english

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
YESSSSS! IT WORKS!!!!
I did some experiments.
What I did wrong was that I thought that the quantization of a clip has something to do with launching scenes. But
for that you have to use global quantization, right? And make sure that you have the right time signatures in master channel.
Only thing ...

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
As I said, I tried that already. It doesn't work.
It ads one 1/8 or something like it...
I tried everything.
I'm lost.

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
I tried also time signatures in master channel but this doesn't change anything only the metronome.
I was sure that this will solve my problem but nothing...
So I will try to explain my problem as clear as possible.

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
No, this just sucks!
ClyphX is great! but it doesn't solve the problem.
It is all about quantization. I really don't understand this.
How couldn't this be implemented???
One bar of 7/8 means 7/8 not 4/4.
Eh, this just sucks.

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
Thanx allot!!!!!!!!!!
I just downloaded Clyphx.
I think I can find solution here.
Anyway it seem great tool for live.
I still don't understand that it is impossible to launch clips in a way I want to.
This is most common way that band wants to play live with click and MIDI sequencers ...

Re: Launching Clips with odd time signatures. HELP ME!!!!
Ok, I will ask this like this:
If I have a clip A which contains 5 bars of 7/8 (a cycle) that is looping , is it possible to program Launch box of the next clip B (cycle) that contains let say 6 bars of 9/8 in a way that when I press it's play button it will start to play when previous clip comes ...

Hi everyone!
