What is the file format? Usually it's a case of simply dragging it to your plugins folder, on a mac there are 2

It is being contained within an instrument. That instrument has ADSR settings. R being Release.
One option is to draw/hold the note for a longer period of time.
The other option is to increase the Release so that even after you release the note, the sample continues to play out.

HELP! Why is this happening?

When I preview the .wav file in the browser, it's over 6 seconds long. But when I add it to the location where to arrange the tracks, it plays for only 1 second or so! Why can't I make the sample play for all the 6 seconds?
