Cheers for the replies. I was unaware it was a different file type, thought it worked like packs tbh.

Hey Ableton - can you please tell us when something is PC or Mac or both in the newsletter

Just saw this on the newsletter but realised its all Mac only. Wish Ableton would have clarified that. https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/elphnt-searches-maxforlivecom-best-free-devices/?utm_source=2019-08-29-genius-td&utm_medium=email&utm_term=l9-std-suite&utm_content=text&utm_campaign=editorial+newsl...

Do you sell them?
Probably would run into trouble if they did that commercially.....

Re: Keyboard Voices

Loads of tutorials on youtube. I set mine up as an external instrument and route the audio back into the card. I then set up some chromatic notes in the editor to play back. You can use the velocity tool to vary everything for velocity settings in one hit instead of editing each note in the pianorol...

Re: Caution to the Wind

Newly added is The One-Armed Man Suite:

Classical inspired but electronically constructed. Minimalist drones of strings and brass swell in and out in an almost ambient fashion maintaining the tension.

Joined the streaming service revolution

https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/thetiredhorizon/valkyrie https://open.spotify.com/artist/2mqgNUNf2s55w7cQBcHDwv At the moment just a couple of tracks. Valkyrie is a laid back strings based "classical" ambient piece but done with Ableton. I decided that despite the 30k+ in plays on soundcloud that ...

Re: Hardware Synths - anyone using the Korg R3 or other older synths?

hardware synths have been an addiction for me since the days of.. well.. hardware. I've always liked them due to licences not running out when buying a new computer etc. They don't take up the DAW cpu processes as much. They often have their own character that softsynths struggle to copy (eg Atmegat...

Re: How big are your Live 10 Backups?

I have a 5tb drive full of projects. This includes not just the Ableton files but also the samples and even artwork/video I create for releases. I'm in no way a professional so gawd knows how big their back ups must be. When I die someone will see these HDDs and assume its all porn

Minimalism, ambience, dark drones and desyncronised loops

Been a long while since I posted here. I still use Ableton, though 9 as I cant afford 10 (I spend my overtime money on other stuff). I still dabble in genres far darker than most who post here. A recent example being the Blood Collar project: https://thetiredhorizon.bandcamp.com/album/under-a-blood-...
