thanks to really quick and helpful ableton support, I solved the problem.
i don't know which VST caused the problem, but emtied the whole folder first.
there was a massive amount of plugins I demo'ed once, but never used again (not talking about cracks, official releases with a timed test period ...

i have the same problem, but in my case it is not caused by samples.
it happens pretty random. cpu usage goes up 300%.
hope someone can help, it is pretty annoying....

I used change panning and stereo of a sample or audiotrack with the freeware plug "stereo tool" (flux).
but somehow the GUI doesnt work in Live 8.
Is there a Live tool which can do things like that?

exploding cpu usage
Hi !
It's really weird. After working in Live a little bit, the CPU usage goes up to 300% and keeps crashing.
I disconnected all "midi in" devices, because I heard that broken midi devices can cause this issue.
But unfrotunately it did not help.
Do you have any ideas?

i jst wondered if there is "midi memory function" in live 8?
I saw a friend using logic the other day. he was just playing along without recording.
then he liked a few chords and was able to restore them without recording.

something really weird happend: after live 7 crashed and cant open the song file anymore.... live says "it seems like your file is damaged".....
this is really really bad as I have a deadline for the song tomorrow....

usually i just drag a midi file on a midi track, but it doesnt work in this case...
