Samples Causes CPU Overload

Post by griffzero » Sun Aug 30, 2009 8:07 pm

I was working a project and had no issues, suddenly after I was consolidating a couple samples the cpu overload jumped to 500%, when I restarted live the project would open with a 70 overload with nothing playing. If I tried to make a change or play the song, back up to 500%. I decided I would just start the song from scratch again. Then all of a sudden the same issue. I believe it has something to do with sample I'm using. The second time around I just had two other instruments with a few effects. And now there's nothing I can do with either project. I realized I was using a mp3 with 96kbps, could this have something to do with it? I would to start this project again, but don't want to run into the same issue. Any help would be appreciated.

i have the same problem, but in my case it is not caused by samples.
it happens pretty random. cpu usage goes up 300%.

hope someone can help, it is pretty annoying....
