Re: Best Way to Optimize Live and MOTU UltraLite-mk3?

thanks for all this everyone - has been very helpful.

i disabled most of the ins/outs and that seems to have helped immensely. didnt think about instruments taking up more bandwidth but totally makes sense - might try and bounce some drum machine tracks to samples and see if that helps improvement ...

Re: Best Way to Optimize Live and MOTU UltraLite-mk3?

Some of my source samples (and the ones that are basically full songs, 2-4 mins each) are 48khz, although some shorter samples are 44khz. should i be syncing them all up?

Best Way to Optimize Live and MOTU UltraLite-mk3?

Hey all,

I'm running Live w/ a MOTU UltraLite in live situations with my band and we have been running in to some slight problems. We have a two midi controllers (padKONTROL and Alesis ControlPad) used to trigger clips, basically whole songs, and occasionally they have seemed to "skip". I assume ...

coreMIDIserver.framework ??? (OSX 10.5)

Hey guys, ever since I upgraded to OS X 10.5 I've been getting something called "coremidiserver.framework" opening any time i open ableton. I'm using an RME Fireface 400 and never had this happen previously.

if that isnt odd enough, it never seems to do anything. Just freeze up (i.e. under the ...

RME Fireface 800 vs. RME Fireface 400

Hey guys, I have (with much searching through this forum) decided to go the route of the RME Fireface family for my new audio interface. I was wondering if I could get your opinions on the 800 vs the 400 though, in relation to what I will be using it for.

Here is the breakdown of how I will be ...

Outboard Gear Monitoring

I use ableton to program and run a slew of outboard gear (MachineDrum, Vermona MKII, DX7, 106, MicroKorg, Evolver Desktop) and it works great. I'm currently tracking all of these into live using an analog mixer which I then output to my MBox. Basically what I do is I monitor all the sounds in rough ...

Live ReWired into Pro Tools or Logic?

Hey guys,

I've been fooling around w/ Live for the past couple months and I absolutely love it. Its phenomenal for remixing/DJing and I'm also loving what it does for my songwriting side.

In terms of recording, I'm more experienced with ProTools than I am Live and am finding it difficult to mix ...
