I wonder if recording in 24 bit will make any difference in the end.
It might sound better in the .wav format, but when I render audio,
I convert it to 16 bit as that's the standard CD audio format.

My audio interface (Toneport UX2) lets me choose 24 bit and 48 kHz. Should I record in 24 bit/48 kHz,

I can get it to work now! However, when panned to right, it is still noticeably quieter.

It is weird, cause the output meters are showing the same level on both sides.

As mentioned before I could still leave the track's panning at center and use the pan knob on the return (which works fine), but that would mean that I could only send tracks to the VST plugin, which will either be panned right OR left. Thus meaning that I would have to set up two VST instances ...

When I set the audio tracks back to master output, I can pan to hard right, but the signal is MUCH quieter when panned to right in comparison to left!

No effects on the send channels. The send tracks send dry guitar signals to return tracks. The return tracks have the Guitar Rig 2 VST.

Edit: Maybe the problem is caused, cause the VST has a pan option, too (set to center).

The return tracks contain all the VSTs.

The problem occurs on the audio tracks, which send their signals to the returns.
