Re: How is this sort of Reese bass (if it even is one) made?

First thing I said to myself after reading your message was "What the hell is a reese bass?"... A quick Google brings up loads of results that not only explain what a "Reese bass" sound is, but also detail how it's made. I know how to make reese basses. I've been working on maki...

How is this sort of Reese bass (if it even is one) made?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW0yDXodp4Q Above is a link to a track with the reese bass in it i've been attempting to make for ages. It's really hard to describe it and to be honest i'm unsure if it even is a reese bass. I tried detuning oscillators in fm8 and operator to get a beating effect. Whi...

Just recently I've been delving into the world of sample layering, reading this rather insightful article (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov12/articles/drum-layering-masterclass.htm) on drum layering, which shed light on the potential of such techniques for giving my sounds that ad...

Re: retaining the definition of your bass/mids when resampling?

thanks for the advice. i like to frequency split the audio with the multiband compressor into bass, mids and trebles. are you saying that if i simply adjust all the bands out by their outputs on my multiband compressor that will do it? i've heard some talk about compression helping "glue it all...

retaining the definition of your bass/mids when resampling?

frequency splitting?

hello everybody. for the past year or so i've been trying to get into producing neurofunk bass lines these sorts of sounds require lots of frequency splitting and i can't make do with just the three bands you can produce through the multiband compressor. i need more! i don't know if there'...
