Re: bouncing / dithering
Thanks for the response Pooks.
However, if this is the case, then what happens if I choose to export with the following settings:
dither ="no dithering"
bit depth = 16 bit
I would assume this would cause a problem right? What bit depth is Ableton running at?
Or more to the point... which bit ...

Re: bouncing / dithering
Well, I read online somewhere that anytime you normalize you're also dithering as well, which is why it's good to only normalize once.

bouncing / dithering

Re: Moving sample libraries to an external harddrive
Hmm, that's all fine and dandy if my samples are located in my Ableton Library, but what if they are located elsewhere? I use lots of samples that aren't associated with my Ableton library.
Hmm, find the magic rock where you hide your samples, and then, oh yeah, here it comes, drum roll....copy ...

Re: Moving sample libraries to an external harddrive

Moving sample libraries to an external harddrive
I've got a bunch of samples on my local harddrive, and I want to move them to an external harddrive...
Is there an easy way to do this in Live, without all of my projects losing the samples?
Example:
I made several songs that uses kick1 located in
/Mac Harddrive/My User/Samples/Kick1.wav

software mastering suites
Hey Guys,
So I'm looking to master some tracks, and I'm wondering what software I should get. I've been thinking about Logic Studio, but over here in NZ it's $800 and I just don't think I wanna spend that much money (though I might if there are no cheaper alternatives).
So my question -- are there ...
