I have some field recordings that I'm trying to put into a composition. However the audio seems to distort in certain places. I looked at the waveform in track view and the places where it distorts is where the waveform goes out and beyond the view space. It seems as though the sound is being ...

Man, I just want that synth sound to mess around with. I can't really find any details on recreating those warm destuned synths. Plus this post is old.

Seemed to get a few similar sounds from an ensoniq, but nothing too close.

So I gather you own Live 9 now after removing the pirated copy, and you had a legit Live 8 before?

Can't you just run Live 9 from its executable or shortcut and then open your set from within it? Or am I misunderstanding your situation?

Found a tutorial on resetting the 'open with' menu with a few lines in Terminal.

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

Still no luck, but it seems to have worked for others...

Hi All,

I have recently downloaded a version of Ableton Live 9, I have files that I have created with the new program.

I am ashamed to say it but for around a week I used a pirated copy of Ableton Live to see if it was really for me.

I fully deleted everything to do with the old pirated version ...

H20nly I think you've got it down, same with Willyum. Both methods I think should do that job. I'm just looking for that full repeated phrase spacey sound. Imagine shouting in a cave and hearing your voice travel down it.
