Layla 24 with Cardbus card - well I'm using an NI Audio 2 DJ at the mo and something else if I can't get this sorted
OSX 10.6.3

I hear ya. I had this romantic notion of using the Mbox with live so I could use the Focusrite pre's
Then I found all of the same issues came back to haunt me when I first installed this demon of a thing for my brother..
USB bus noise, crap updates and drivers, horrendous install stuff, doesn't work ...

Interesting. You are right. Activity monitor only displays 3 gig used however on MacFixit's website their explanation is it still uses 4 gig but keeps 1 gig for non accessible system uses:

"The MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo presumably uses Intel's 945PM chipset, which can physically handle 4 GB of DDR2 ...

Hi. Just a quick question. What are the send faders for on the return tracks? Are they only there because all other tracks have them? I use sends to group effects but can't work out why these faders are on the return tracks. What am I missing here?
