Hey guys,


I just set up a user script to control the 8 macro knobs of the selected device with 8 rotary encoders (Midi Fighter Twister).

I want to assign buttons on the controller to navigate between devices in a chain.

For example, I'd like to be able to control the 8 macro knobs on a drum ...

I bought the 2015 13" MBP, and while it is pretty great, I think I'd be happier if it could run Max 4 Live...

It seems like the newest MBPs just can't run M4L at all in its current state.

Joining this thread a bit late apparently.

Just wanted to report that I'm getting consistent crashes whenever I open ANY M4L device. 100% of the time.

Using the new 2015 13" MBP, so I assumed it was hardware-related but I suppose it might not be.


Any advice? I've tried several versions of Java ...

What kind of computer are you using?

I am currently experiencing this exact issue on the 2015 Macbook Pro (The "Force Touch" one).

I was assuming it might be a compatibility issue with the 2015 MBP since it was just released, but if you're experiencing this issue on other hardware then maybe ...

+1 for live needing to update this.

I can't believe how bad it looks on a retina display. I assume they would have to change the way it all scales for retina and 4k, so it might be a bigger update than we imagine. Hopefully not version 10 though.
