Navigating through device chain with a controller map?

Hey guys,


I just set up a user script to control the 8 macro knobs of the selected device with 8 rotary encoders (Midi Fighter Twister).

I want to assign buttons on the controller to navigate between devices in a chain.

For example, I'd like to be able to control the 8 macro knobs on a drum rack and then press a button to jump to the 8 macro knobs on an audio effect rack on the same chain.

I know this will probably require some tinkering and maybe a bit of scripting, but I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
