. Maybe there's just a limit to how big a file you can work with.

Thanks.

I just checked - I have to files that are each around 1GB, but the rest ...

Re: ableton dj set cache using way more space than it should

If you have a session that's only MP3 clips and you flatten all the tracks, that would make them all aiff files, right?

It would also crop the file length.

Do the MP3 clips still have to be buffered?

They'd still be in the samples folder, so to really shrink the session down you'd have to save it ...

Re: Tips to launch 9.1.1?

I didn't have a phone number at the time I posted that. I ended up speaking to someone in Europe, but I think it was cell to Skype and I kept getting disconnected, but I did figure out a solution.

They got distracted by the fact the my crash reports were 9GB and we didn't get in to any real ...

Tips to launch 9.1.1?

I've been using 9.1.1 Suite since it came out, but it's been crashing a ton, especially when I go to save. Now it won't launch, it just hangs. I've tried re-installing, and that worked once.

I can get 9.1 Standard to launch, but not the Suite version, and now it's asking to authorize, but times out ...

Re: Secret Ways of Organizing your Ableton Set

If you're only mixing between the same song on A and B, then you don't need the fat and skinny tracks, just one track that you send to both A and B.

Re: ableton dj set cache using way more space than it should

Is there a way to swap the MP3s for the created AIFF files permanently?

If you "Collect All & Save" it should create the decoded files in your project folder. I am pretty sure that as you add files into your project they are decoded to the project folder. I haven't really paid attention tho as I ...

You could also cheat and have someone speak in a fake language and emulate German or French.

Re: Ideas how to edit voices like this?

There's not real any editing going on. If you listen closely the original sound is panned in the center, but very low - you can only hear the S's.

Then there are two effects, one on the right and a reverb return from that effect on the left.

Try sending to a short delay that has a LPF built in and ...

Moving Loop From Looper To Clip

Is there a way to drag a loop from within the Looper to a clip without using the trackpad?

Ideally I'd want to move it to a clip or a pad it a drum rack after pressing a single mapped button.

Re: Clip play position

I have a similar question an similar workflow.

I've found that the best way for me to take loops from a long clip is to set the loop bracket at either 2 or 4 bars, then highlight it and use the computer keyboard's up/down arrows to move L/R, then hit the duplicate button on Push whenever I find a ...

Re: Any way to make a custom push scale

Is there a way to change the scales to have only six rows of buttons working, and have the second one from the top of the 6th be only a third higher, rather than a fourth like the rest?

As a guitar player, there are a couple of different scale settings that look just like a guitar neck - with that ...
