I've been using a 3.4 GHz iMac for Live. My spouse is going to take it over, and because I don't feel the need for a 27 in. monitor, I was planning to go to 21.5 in screen. Then I found out that the 21.5 in iMacs have a max. processor speed of 2.9 GHz.
I wonder if the difference in processor speed ...

It appears my problem was that there was an additional step needed: Picking which KIND of track -- Audio or MIDI. I missed doing that.

Push to create new track for new instrument often swaps
I've found that often when I'm trying to create a new track -- like an instrument track after creating a drum track -- I will press Add Track, but Live only swaps my first instrument for the new one. Am I leaving out a step? I thought I was following the procedure in one of the instructional videos ...
