Bump!

Messy is an understatement. I use different midi channels for different note expressions/gestures (gliss, pizz, slap, cres etc.) Try splitting a single melody over 5 or 6 tracks.

A midi note should have three dimensions (pitch, velocity, channel.) Midi in Live is 2D - no expression ...

I often use similar techniques to get extra expression out midi. The Midi standard already has the solution in the form of 16 midi channels. Every other sequencer allows you to have multi-channel midi clips, giving you the possibility to route a midi-sequence to many instruments. Selecting midi ...

Ableton ergonomics in the Midi Editor

I can see I'm not the only one psyched about Abletons take on the Midi editor. Can they give us the power we need with minimum clicks again?

Shift-Drag for velocity editing is cool!

I'd just like to ask if midi notes are colored according to velocity level? And is there midi note preview when ...

Velocity Tool in the Midi Editor

Will the Midi editor have a velocity tool with live midi note preview?

The inclusion of this feature alone would finally allow me to consider Live! as a replacement for Logic PC. Without it midi-editing becomes very tedious.

Even better would be the inclusion of a midi-channel tool with live ...
