Thanks! I couldn't find where to define a default MIDI-track, so now it's working OK!

It seems so stupid: when I insert a new MIDi track in the arranger view of Live 10, I got indeed a new track, but there is already a plugin that comes with it (A Kontakt VST in my case). I expect to have an empty track...

The default template doesn't contain that plugin. So, how can I reset this ...

Here more details of the mentioned problem:

When I load a project and I apply a lot of changes, I can't close Live normally, only via the Task Manager. The same situation happens when I apply a lot of changes and want to load another project.

In case of only a couple of changes, I can close Live ...

Recently Live has a strange behaviour: when I load a project, work in it and then I want to load another project, Live blocks!
It says "loading project" but in the heading there is written "ableton doesn't react". So I have to "close" the program using the task manager and restart it.
Even worse ...

In the meantime I've tried other code packs, but still nothing worked (video, yes, audio nothing). Also, when I added an audio track in the same project, all wave files remained silent (as the one of the video).
Even worse: in a new project, when I created a new audio track, no matter what you put ...

I saw that answer also, but of course that is not quite a good solution.

I've tested the same situation on another PC and when I used MME/DirectX and not ASIO as a driver, it worked!
But I don't see the need to downgrade my studio PC with that driver. Also, on the Ableton ...

As the knowledge base suggests, I've installed the Haali Media Splitter (aka Matroska Splitter).

Now I try to import the StarGirlScore video clip from the Spitfire Audio challenge. They deliver 2 versions: *.mov and *.mp4 ...

I'm working in arrangement view. The strange thing is I did the same earlier and than it worked...

Here is the situation: I have a midi-track (with notes) and I want to add a phaser effect on top if it.

So, I drag and drop the phaser effect on the track, assign my pedal to its "Amount" parameter. When playing the track, I hear the phaser going on while changing the position of the pedal.

Another "solution" is to change the value of the "Expression" value (CC011) of each midi-track to make a reasonable mix before dumping to audio.

For some projects I'm using an old Roland JV2080 as a 16 channel sound module.
