It's no wonder Safari decides to show .adg files as text, as you're serving them as text. Your site serves them with Content-Type: text/plain .

If you add the following to your httpd.conf or a .htaccess file, things will work much better:


AddType application/octet-stream .adg

See ...

They're great!

What's not so nice is that I can consistently crash Live just by dragging in CovOps Sampler Freebie 1.als and playing "Scan These". The bar where it crashes varies, but it's after a couple of seconds and it only happens for this clip.

Mac OS X comes with a builtin soundfont player, the DLSMusicDevice. You can find it under the Audio Units/Apple directory if you've configured Live to use Audio Units.

Shouldn't Live4's follow actions be able to do it?

Have a one-shot version of the sample precede the actual loop, with an unconditional follow action.

I haven't tried this out though (and can't anymore today)
