[OT] Robert Anton Wilson could do with some of your cash

If you don't know or care who Robert Anton Wilson is, this won't mean much to you. But, if you do know, you probably will care.

Some of you might have read this already on BoingBoing, but I thought I'd re-post it here as RAW is one of my all-time heroes, of course I have sent some cash to keep him going.

Robert is dying at his home from post polio syndrome. He has enough money for next months rent and after that, will be unable to pay. He cannot walk, has a hard time talking and swallowing, is extremely frail and needs full time care that is being provided by several friends-fans-volunteers and family. We appeal to you to help financially for the next few months to let him die at his home in peace.

RAW was one of my favorite writers when i was a silly trippy teenager. And actually, still a personal hero too.

man thats CRAZY, I'm very fond of Robert Anton Wilson...I just find it hard to believe he's broke. Is that guy, the guy looking for money, legit ?

I remember an ebay auction not so long ago claiming Robert was only days away from meeting the divine creator, and was auctioning some books...

yep,Douglas Rushkoff is a well published author that has done stuff with / about RAW. So I think his info is genuine, also the boingBoing people seem to have info from another long-time collaborator and friend.

The gmail account is the same one RAW was using a while back to auction some stuff off

If only these guys hadn't burned that million pounds sterling...

They took enough inspiration from RAW. Let's hope they read this too and have some money left...
