I was hoping that this knowledge could help in optimizing big template projects to avoid somehow open/exit waiting. And yes, I know about hard turning off computer problems

antic604: yeah, but it's not an answer on my question :P Pozdro ;)
So you don't save, you don't disconnect any sound cards etc. The latter should be quite audible on your monitors.
You also don't purge the undo history, which might become unwieldy if you always shut down like this.

Closing project vs forced closing (PC)
Hi,
I've noticed that when I'm closing big project in the standard way, it takes long time. But when I'm doing this using for example task manager it takes only seconds. Is there any reason that makes standard closing better?

Effects vs CPU in default project optimisation
Hi, I've got few questions. I've read manual, but I want to have "usere response" also.
1. Do effects that are turned off use any of CPU/RAM? I'm thinking about making big "turned off" effect rack on every new default made track.
2. Do racks that are turned off use any of CPU/RAM? (I talking about ...

Long personal list
Hi, I've made my personal wishlist :) I am piano player, producer and sound designer. Some of my requests are bigger, some are just a suggetions. I'm not sure if "Ableton" is reading this topic, so I will send them request via mail. If some of my requests are already somehow in actual version ...

Re: Bit depth in mixdown process
And what about settings>record tab? We can choose there bit depth of our wave recordings. So is it like: Ableton records in 24bits but it is adding 8 bits of silence to work in 32?

Re: Audio sample shorter than 1/128
12RT2 - thx man! It's quite obvious but somehow I didn't check it before. Thanks!
BTW I'm just curious why sometimes I can't make samples shorter by draging.

Re: Bit depth in mixdown process
Maybe Ableton is rendering mixdown in 32 and after that is converting to 24? But it would be strange as long recordings are made in 24 bits (in Settings>Record tab I have 24 bits). I don't know...

Bit depth in mixdown process
Hello,
Win 8, 64, Asio4All v2.x, focusrite 6i6
I have 24bits in Ableton 9 Suite settings. In mixdown popup i have 24bits settings.
Why after mixdown I have "Converting bit depth" popup (with render status bar)?

Re: Audio sample shorter than 1/128
Hmmm
But sometimes I have longer samples than 1/128 (like 1/32) and I can't make them shorter. I don't know why it's happening (and only sometimes). I can consolidate that sample and after that I can make it shorter. Any idea?

What a pity that it's impossible in Ableton.
