Hi, I've got few questions. I've read manual, but I want to have "usere response" also.
1. Do effects that are turned off use any of CPU/RAM? I'm thinking about making big "turned off" effect rack on every new default made track.
2. Do racks that are turned off use any of CPU/RAM? (I talking about racks that include turned on effects).
3. I know that turned on filters in eq8 are using some CPU, even when freq, rezo and Q are set to "default 0". Right now I'm using default eq8 on every new default track with two bands "on". I'm wondering how much it uses CPU in big projects (like +100 tracks). Are u using it similar way?

To quote what you are asking:
To quote what you are asking:
I have an EQ8 as a minimum for every track (part of my default track setup) because they are pretty good in both CPU usage and function. I certainly cannot comment for 100+ tracks as my aim is always to use as few tracks as possible but they shouldn't create any load if no sound is flowing through.Devices are turned on and off using their Activator switches. Turning a device off is like temporarily deleting it: The signal remains unprocessed, and the device does not consume CPU cycles. Live devices generally do not load down the CPU unless they are active. For more information, please refer to the CPU load section (see 30.1). The Freeze Track command discussed there is especially helpful when working with CPU-intensive devices.
