A List of Drum Rack improvements I'd like to see

1. Ability to key/midi map the Auto Select button.... 2. ....or at least have it always visible, not only with the chain button on. 3. Option of having the grid move by default in increments of 1,2,3, or 4, rather than just 3 or 1 with alt (xp). 4. Set multiple chokes simultaneously, mentioned here ...

Re: Get your APC (or whatevs) for 20% off!

I just got an e-mail from them with the subject: "30 Day Backorder Notice" did anyone else get this? Uh oh, yeah I just got this message also, just emailed cust. service for (hopefully) more information. Either way though, big thanks to Kodama for saving me 80 bucks on it, and if anyone else that w...

Re: How to give Live 8 more memory

What kind of computer and what processor does it have, what kind of hard drive, and how much RAM? The D lighting up means disk overload, 'not enough memory' message means a lack of RAM. How big is your project?

Re: Invalid product ID

I'm having the same problem for a set that I originally created in Live 7, then brought into Live 8 beta, and now Live 8. No VSTs. The only recent changes I've made since bringing it into Live 8 - I added a Drum Rack (Meaty) and an Impulse (Dub Delay) from the Live 8 Library. It happened first after...

Re: SF - where's the scene(s) of good music?

Check out The Shotgun Wedding Quintet - incredible horn section, live looping, improv, freestyles - top notch musicianship, great songs, great mc and dj.

In fact, any group from the Jazz Mafia in SF will likely not disappoint.

Re: License question - pls help

You get 2 unlocks, so if you've only installed Live on the computer you're getting repaired, you're fine. After you unlock Live on 2 computers, you have to email Ableton support with a quick explanation of why you need another. So if you use your 2nd unlock on the other computer, you may have to ema...

Hey pamplemousse_mk2,

It's a Wurlitzer 206a electric piano, a goofy old Wurlitzer Music Learning Module keyboard (which sounds great with some redux and saturator), and the ubiquitous Microkorg.

[jab] Redline Monitor VST crashed 8.0b8

Dragging Redline Monitor VST by 112db onto the master track crashed Live 8.0b8. This only happened on one Set, other songs in the beta have have not had this problem. Never had any problems with it in Live 7 (although I only recently downloaded the demo, I'm using it in almost every song). Windows X...

I also got a subscription just to get this pack and I really dig it. I've been looking for a nice, reasonably priced Mellotron instrument since I don't exactly plan on using it on every song.

Also picked up the Purple Kit, nice stuff guys.

Personally, I'd get this: http://www.adkproaudio.com/systems/viewsystem.cfm?recordid=119 Seems to hit all your needs: 15", video card, and will clock in at about $1500 depending on upgrades. Also, 1066 front side bus is nice, xp, and built with audio in mind. I have a desktop from ADK and I love it.

I won't embarrass myself by trying to explain the technical differences between the rates.

I can say that for live, I would use 44.1 khz only, as anything higher than that will only tax your computer unnecessarily for an increase in sound quality that will be unnoticeable on any live system.

I was hoping for some small things like being able to choose what increment the little focus square moves in when you mouse it (right now it only moves in increments of 3 rows at a time). I'd like to have it move in increments of 1,2, or 4 rows, without having to mess with holding alt while dragging...
