Hey All!

Long time Ableton user. This question relates to a new setup where I’m using an iPad to control DMX lights - Photon 2 is the app.

Not using a Mac / Ableton for this particular setup.

The app doesn’t allow Tap Tempo to be midi mapped. But it does have Ableton Link.

I’m wondering if ...

So... That works a treat! I can record loops how i want too as far as lenght goes. Progress!

I am still faced with this problem tho...

I have my live set setup as a setlist... So each song has roughly 4 parts each.

What i really need to be able to do is have a global "record to this track in ...

So, you are saying that if the global quantise is set to "one bar" - when you tap an FCB pedal once that it automatically cuts off the clip recording at one bar?

If so, you need to edit your FCB .
It's ages since I edited mine, but as I recall each pedal tap can send out a trigger on pedal down ...

I want to use Ableton to loop my instruments live on stage: Aco Gtr, Banjo & Mandolin.

Have these scenes for each song: Intro / Verse / Chorus / Outro

Have pre made bass guitar parts and drums.

So example would be:
Record each of my intruments parts into the corresponding clip / scene slot... So ...

You can launch Scenes and much more using our Follow Scene MaxforLive device, it's main feature is to allow follow actions for scenes...

Cheers guys - i had a quick look at the isotonik device. Still not ...

You could just copy the Verse scene and place it after the Chorus scene too, no?

I could indeed do that - but i don`t want to be locked down to a set arrangment as far as how many verse`s / chorus`s there are going to be... I want to be able to jam / solo over whichever part ...

I`m new to Albeton - i have my fcb1010 setup and am absolutely loving it.

What i can`t seem to work out on my own is how to: "scene up" AND "launch that scene" with only 1 tap of my fcb1010.

I`m using Albeton in a song format. Generally only having Intro / Verse / Chorus / Outro ...
