LIVE LE with rewire

i just want Live LE to have Rewire slave support. because i only need a couple of tracks to sync with my sequencer. i don't want to buy the regular LIve since it has so many features i won't get to use anyway. i haven't upgraded since 4, and getting the LE version for use with my mac pro would be ...

Well, Dr. Dohh you have a point with Reaper but Reaper is more of a substitution for a traditional linear DAW at the moment. BUt one which is setting a good precedent and I'm sure it's putting a dent in sales of Cubase and Sonar.

If you don't have the need to upgrade then I understand. I feel the ...

again i have nothing against live's performance - pretty good at what it does. but most of the features for me are sort of redundant with my setup. I'd gladly pay for it if it were my main DAW, but it's not. Now for me it's a plugin. and spending for upgrades on a rewire plugin is expensive. Now I ...

Sonar is listed at $619 for Producer 7. Although some retailers are offering a discount on it. If you used Sonar you would appreciate why people are prepared to pay more for the Live Suite. Sonar has a terrible GUI and even though it has some great features, that kills it for me.

Cubase 4 - 800 ...

I think, like... well. LIve brand new, as a first time buyer, and getting everything you possibly can get with it, is less than 1000

Just try and achieve the power of recording you get with a package like this, for a tiny thousand dollars in 1980...

seriously I don't have money at my ass either ...

well Logic 8 is my main DAW right now. i'll be using live for quick beat making and time-stretching so the other features aren't really very attractive to me. i guess that's what makes it expensive for me - the fact that i'll only be using Live's time stretching and some plugins.

So far Live's been ...

Live 7 getting too expensive?

Am I the only one who thinks Live is becoming too expensive? It's a very good product, in fact it's very useful for me, but I haven't upgraded since Live 4 because I can't sustain all of the yearly upgrades. In fact I think the price I spent for my first Live program is the same price as the upgrade ...

can we count on muse receptor support?

i know that currently muse receptor only works with windows vsts, but is there a chance that live can work in receptor? it might be a little too far fetched, but i can imagine a gig with a muse receptor, a midi controller or two, a monitor.

possible?

midi out?

hi is there any way to send midi from ableton to a rewire host like cakewalk sonar? live is much easier to use on simple midi applications than any of the sequencers i've used. i like using live midi clips instead of the piano roll type thing.

what i do is i import the midi file to cakewalk. but ...

i guess that if you have 5.1 implementation, it'll be pretty awkward to infuse that with the current interface.

i mean, how are you supposed to do that with the current clip envelopes? I mean, i love the clip envelopes, but to incorporate a whole set of panning shifts, it'll be more difficult to ...

LIVE 7: please include 5.1 surround :)

this is my main sequencer now, and now that you have video support for live 6, I hope you get to include surround in the next version of Live.

this is probably the best interface in the market today, can't wait for the 6th edition!
