Re: Ableton 12 performance on M3 Pro Max
Also make sure that you're not running Ableton under Rosetta https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415807634322-How-to-open-Live-using-Rosetta-on-macOS I'm so green I don't even know what Rosetta is! It does not appear that it is installed, so I think I may be ok on this front. Thanks! Rosett...

Re: Ableton 12 performance on M3 Pro Max
I'm probably the most annoying type of user ever. I'm not only brand new to Ableton (and just using the 30 day lite demo) but I am also brand new to a Mac. I'm fairly computer savvy on Linux or PC, but irritatingly green on MacOS. I've got Activity Monitor open and Live is currently sitting at betw...

Did you already update the pack?amosbilliau wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 10:01 amI also have the same issue with Iota since the ableton 12 upgrade. I just made a ticket and will see what they say.
You can find pack updates at the bottom of the Packs section in Live's browser.

Re: New Abelton user cant record drum machine clip
If you go to the midi editor, do you see notes for the different drum sounds on the piano roll? What version and Edition of Live are you using? Maybe there is something in the rack that is not supported and hence no sound is produced. Does the rack produce sound when you play some notes on the keybo...

Re: Unable to midi map Performer to external controller
The mapping point is the number box (value) of the control, not the dial, slider or button.

Re: Performance Pack: Variations Just Doesn't Work
It would be great if the different "snapshots" could be midi mapped. I want to be able to press a button and have a "variation" take place. This is possible with the Ableton implementation inside Racks but sadly not with the Performance Pack and Variations. I don't know if there...

Did you perform a deep plugin scan?
To do so, go to Preferences, hold the ALT key, and click Rescan plugins.
The plugin should not be listed anymore after the scan has finished.
You can reach Tech Support here https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Re: I formatted my mac. Did I lose my collections and custom tags?🤦🏽♂️
If you want to restore all your Live settings, it's essential to have the files Library.cfg and Preferences.cfg from your most recent backup. Place them in the folder Users/ <username> /Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 12.0.2. Do this while Live is closed. If your plugins are installed and sample an...

Re: Managing Factory Packs and ALP Files
There is one exception. Free Ableton packs are not listed in Live's browser. So you need to install those using the downloaded .alp files. In the round of package I just completed, it seems that the Free Ableton Packs were included in the list of package updates I was offered ... Okay, that's stran...

Re: Push3 : can't observe a control without grabbing it ?
Not [jur] here, but it also doesn't work for me.
The observer only sends bangs after you reload the device or project.
After a restart of Live or Push, the values are sent again.
Seems to be a general issue with the observer.

Re: control MPE parameters from M4L
Miditool is not the problem here.
Max does not support ways to get or set note MPE data. If it did, you could just implement this in the Miditool.

Re: Managing Factory Packs and ALP Files
You can make your life much easier by using Live's install and update function. At the bottom of the Packs section, you will find New packs and Updates when available. (If you don't see anything listed, you are up to date. When you delete a pack, it will appear as a new pack at the bottom.) You can ...
