Guys, I'm still using Ableton 11 and there hasn't been(early 2025) a fix for this issue still. Also not in the somewhat recent Melodyne update.
I'm guessing though that Live 12 does not support ARA either.

Scene follow launches will sometimes be very stubbornly ignoring the settings. When it's set to Next in some cases it would just stop, in other cases it would start back at the first scene. But persistenly one of either problems. I could only sometimes work around ...

Set your default Simpler using the one that you like in the drum rack. Yes, a drum rack uses Simpler by default. Making those changes that you mention, and also setting the output to unity (0db), should get some way to "zeroing out" a Simpler to the point where a sample plays back the same ...

This is still a thing. What I expect from Simpler is that it simply plays back a sample when it does actually change a lot of qualities of the playback. If not the Sampler, this is at least what i expect from the Simpler. Even when turning off filters, warp, LFO, and fades.
