Hi,
the content that Max installs into the Live Library is roughly 200MB large (mainly samples used by the tutorials). Could it be that this folder or one of its parents is marked as not to be scanned by spotlight in spotlight's preferences?

Re: Unable to quit Live. Preferences corrupt after Force Quit
No, the massage is related to RAM, not to disc space. It could be that something needs a lot of RAM and/or the virtual memory is not configured properly. Anyway, the preferences should not get corrupted from a Force Quit.

Hi,
when this happens again could you please create a 'bug reporting snapshot' from Live's Help menu
and send the resulting .alp file to [email protected]?

Hi,
regarding disk space: you could check if the folder
~/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Bug Reporting/
got very large for some reason. If this is the case you can delete
the Live Run* folders inside.

Re: extending beta3 beyond Sept 30
Hi,
we are aware of this. The reason for letting the Beta expire is simply that we want to make sure that testing is done with a reasonably new version, i.e. that we don't receive too many reports for bugs that already have been fixed.

Hi,
the cited change-log entry is misleading and should have read:
"Control surfaces from the MPD-Series could have mistakenly been identified as APC 40"

No, that's all the same. It looks like a problem with our crash reporting code. But you can also email the crash report that the Mac OS generates to [email protected]

Hi,
I can't reproduce this here, could you give a step-by-step description about what are doing?
Did Live create a crash pack (.alp) file when started the next time? Please send this to
[email protected]

Re: [max and live] whilst saving patches, live crashes...
Hi,
Live should have created a 'crash report pack (some .alp-file on your Desktop) the next time you started Live after the crash.
Could you please send this file to [email protected] ?

Friedemann

Bugfix update 8.0.5 available
Hi,
we just released the next bugfix update for Live 8: Live 8.0.5.
Use the "Check for Updates" command from Live's help menu or check http://www.ableton.com/latest_versions
If you are a Suite user and have installed all content it is enough to download 'Live' instead 'Suite'.
