I think for now I found a good solution, just putting the display to sleep with the terminal command pmset displaysleepnow, and almost fully closing the laptop.

Strange, I have that option unchecked and it still doesn't work as intended. I get Live up and running, connect Push and as soon as I close the lid, nada. Thanks for chiming in hope I can figure this out.

I just got a Push 3, I'd like to use it with my laptop (mM1 Macbook pro) closed. That's basically what I'm doing now. I have Streamdeck set to find presets in the browser window, but to have Streamdeck be able to actually load a preset without me having to touch the computer at all is what I'm after.

I've never used Max for live before. I think I kind of understand what it does but wanted to double-check before buying.

What I would like to do, is record video of me making beats in my studio, by syncing Live and whatever video recording software I end up using with Live (using Max)? So ...

How cool would it be if Live had a setting to automatically freeze the master everytime you saved, and would play the freeze from the file menu if you hovered over the song title for a bit?

That way you could preview old songs without having to load the whole project to know which track it was.

I'd like to set-up a camera so that I can record video of beatmaking while I'm recording a track as well (so that everytime I record audio in ableton I automatically record the video to go with it), to make "behind the beats" type videos. Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance!

It would be super cool if Live automatically froze all the audio from a project every time you saved it, and let you audition projects before loading directly from the file drop down.

Looking for some help being able to switch from banks 1-8 to 9-16 in session view using a Novation Remote SL. When I page through banks now, the SL shows the current bank of tracks, but the red highlighted bank window in session view stays on 1-8.
