Audio or Instrument Track Templates

It would be IMMENSELY helpful if Audio or instrument tracks could be templated (not just whole project templates), and could be added to a project (not just by dragging them in, but by double click as well). Right now when you double click on an audio or instrument track template, it opens a new project, which I don't really understand what the use case for this would be? I'm using a Stream Deck, and this feature would enable me to go almost hands-free from my laptop when improvising live.

You can open the project templates like they are folders in Live's browser, then just drag out the tracks you need individually.

That's basically what I'm doing now. I have Streamdeck set to find presets in the browser window, but to have Streamdeck be able to actually load a preset without me having to touch the computer at all is what I'm after.
