I' d go for the t40.

The Celeron has (in my opinion) no "floating point" algorithm whatever this is but it is important for performance of music software.

A new battery is up to 200 Euro, if you need one.

At the moment in Germany it is impossible to get the Hitachi. I'm hunting for almost one month for one, a shop told me Hitachi has problems to deliver - in some online ore ebay shops you can find some but I guess these offers are not serious.

Thanks for the response. I don't know if the value of 533 FSB and a 7200 rpm harddisk is comparable. I would prefer the second as well because the company builds for your own special needs and has a maybe better support. And you can upgrade the CPU Power or RAM for some bucks. Is an internal noteboo...

533 or 400 MHz FSB?

Hi Folks, I saw an offer of two different laptops at the same price. Both got different advantages, I do not know which one I should prefer for making music (not gaming): Samsung X20 XVM 1600 III Intel® Pentium® M Prozessor 730 (1,6 GHz 2 MB Cache 533 MHz FSB) RAM 512 MB PC2-3200 (2 x 256) 80 GB EID...

Yeah,

this Monoman sounds quite good but I'm afraid the organizer can't pay him. So he prefers Alexander Kowalski.

Cheers.

To specify the style:
It is not meant as a chill out session. The audience should dance.

Sorry, but I don't need an explanation what it is good for, I'd rather like to get it work. Any suggestion?

When I created a macro I never left pauses between the single hits. Could this be a reason?

I am on VAIO 1.6 GHz Notebook. I have got the feeling that the config utility of Speedpad does not really communicate with Live (as well as Rejoice does not communicate with Lives virtual Midi In). In Speedpad's Standard Mode (QWERT) everythings fine- a macro on a single key dead.

Hi there, I bought this infamous controller. Maybe I’m stupid but I don’t get it. Usually I use the computer keys to control mute things (on qwert and so on). Therefore I don’t need a seperate controller. But I liked the idea of creating macros with speedpad. So I tried to create one (for duplicatin...

Schranz

I don't think that Schranz is stupid music and just for teenagers. I come from guitar/industrial and started making electronic music later. So sometimes I'm tired of all these lovely melodies, claps and pads. Did you ever recognize that listening to the sound of a machine is some kind of hypnotic? I...
