Hi, how can I clear the midi capture cache? I am asking because sometimes I am jamming and I get an idea and then want to improvise on that idea without having all the previous midi notes I was playing for say a minute. Thanks

How exactly? If you create a template and have this on a midi channel as the first thing you do? It will not mess up undo...

No.... There is no way to midi map rewind, fast forward, step back step forward because those controls do not exist in ableton. There is no physical button. That is why this max4live ...

That it has full transport controls with lots of features. And that they are midi assignable. Which means you can easily assign the controls to your midi controller. This is the way it SHOULD be automatically.

I do not know why they would put sample preview volume and metronome volume on the same channel I am constantly changing the volumes. I like my metronome loud and my sample previews soft.

Do they make money from other companies selling their controllers? Do they get a cut of Akai, Novation, Korg, etc? If the product is sepcifically designed with ableton in mind? Just curious!

I would argue that ableton wants to sell its hardware and other hardware controllers associated - akai, novation etc.

I really wish Ableton would add transport controls to the main page. It would make mapping midi controllers so much easier. I would like to see a rewind and ff button. Which could be used as step back bar or forward bar.
