Thanks for the fast reply, much appreciated. Yes, arrangement view, so that insert silence tip, works nicely, cheers!
Great suggestion on the groups too, can't believe I didn't think of that before, as I only use 8 outputs anyway... Duh.
Do groups use up less CPU? Any problems grouping MIDI and ...

Adding entire new songs to an already huge set
I usually use 2 massive Live Sets when playing live, each about 130 tracks deep.
Each set contains 5/6 songs, running smoothly into each other, and a bucket-load of automation.
However, I would like to change the order of the set, and also add some new tunes.
Is this possible without losing all ...

Re: All my Live Devices have disappeared...
Aha...! I didn't realise I had to actually install individual packs like that.
Everything came straight from the disk before. I went straight to the overall update.
Many thanks, all seems to be back in order now.
Cheers,
Nick.

Re: All my Live Devices have disappeared...
Hi Jorg,
Thanks for your reply.
But... I've tried both of the options above, but still nothing. In the latest version, my library path now reads:
user/library/application support/ableton/Live6.0.11/library, but when I choose the Manage Library option in the File Management side panel,

All my Live Devices have disappeared...
Right, this is a little complicated to explain, and probably not at all complicated to fix, but I'm stumped!
I recently got a new machine (MacBook Pro 17", 2.66GHz, 4 gig ram, OSX 10.5.7), and re-installed Live 6. All went smoothly enough, until I noticed that some samples, presets etc from my ...

Re: Moving to Berlin... Advice?
Ditto the above.
I realise this is a little late, but if you're still looking for somewhere, also consider a sub-let.
That way you get a fully furnished gaff, but the flip side is it'll be short-ish term.

get up get down, new Irish electro-dub duo, now in Berlin
Get up Get down are from Ireland, but we've just moved to Berlin, Germany, home of our beloved ableton, haha!
If you have a few minutes, check out some brand new tunes on our myspace below.
Feedback, but not the shrill, eardrum tickling type, would be much appreciated!

playback tempo problems
Whilst playing through firewire output to Mackie Onyx Satellite interface (recently updated for macbook pro) Ableton is playing back sets at much higher tempo than what is stated in the tempo bar, even a blank metronome is not sounding in sync with a real metronome. All audio sounds as if it is ...
