Brilliant, here we are in 2019 (Version Abeton Live Suite 10.0.5) and I needed to do the ALT+Click on "rescan" and BOOM, it works ! My plugins are back. Thankyou for putting this solution on this forum all those years ago.

Same problem here, rather late to the party, but almost the same setup as you GdabZ....
Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, SUB37 and Minilogue, Windows 7 Pro x64, Ableton 10, all running off SSD, i7 920, 12gb RAM, tested over Focusrite midi and Steinberg Midex 8 and same issues - midi envelopes being glitchy ...
