Re: Robert Henke Granulator

Robert- Thanks for sharing Granulator, many of us have paid a lot of money many times over for uninspiring synths...this one is not only free, but incredibly fun and inspiring. It has been several years since I played with something that sounded fresh like this.

Re: Saying goodbye to a friend, Leedsquietman passed away.

Very sobering to read this post. I believe that somewhere far away, or maybe not so far away another sphere is graced by his presence. Although many of us here were or are too jaded to deserve to hang out with a guy always so pleasant hear from, we were fortunate to have felt his positive vibes. Res...

Re: Hello from Griid / Liine

i tried using the free version for the iphone but couldn't get it to work, I configured the network and everything, and it would act like it linked up, but then the screen would go black and no response. ditto here I tried connecting using the free version both through my wifi and adhoc and had the...

Re: Question for ableton staff

I used pc's up through vista, and had become accustomed to reinstalling windows about every year and a half, which becomes very time consuming by the time you collect several years of audio software. I switched to mac and honestly haven't had to reinstall an operating system in 4 years on 3 differen...

Re: true man-crush type admiration confessions

Christopher Walken should top anybody's man crush list. The rest of your list is pretty spot on, you did a wonderful job omitting the state of Arizona and the teabaggers. I may take some flack for getting mixing politics into man crush/admiration but the aforementioned groups are about the only ones...

Sugarbytes Thesys = Sequencer win

step sequencer in max for live failed for me because I couldn't figure out how to control the sliders from my midi controller. Consequence failed even worse. Reaktor came the closest, but Thesys did everything I wanted and with so much less to figure out. Sugarbytes makes great and intuitive interfa...

Re: Let's not be honest: the boasting thread

I'm pissed because Live for the Ipad took every song idea I've ever had to full fruition in the week and a half I've been screwing around with it, I have no more music in me...just 10 perfect albums and countless material left over to never really even be able to sell it all!

Re: live.step : feature request

Is it possible to activate "automate and stored" in the visibility parameter somehow? It doesn't make sense that the note slider on the sequencer wouldn't be controllable by a midi slider, I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious here? If live.step were midi cc and note controllable from a midi de...

Re: Sugar Bytes.. do I get Thesys or Consequence?

Just looking at those screen shots...it doesn't look like the play on thesys is triggered.....do you get anything if you have "play" going in the live transport, then mouse click on the "play" button near the bottom right hand corner of thesys? Kind of a dumb long shot try to help, I have just playe...

Re: What will be your next gear purchase

been looking at sample moog...seems like it has good reviews, watched some play vids sounds really nice, but wondering if anyone uses it here? Anyone recommend it? I love samplemoog....there have been several offers by IK for getting it way cheaper than I got it, I bought right when it came out. I ...

Angstrom wrote:I heard that Henke wrote a max patch to re-sequence his own DNA
Actually, he only prototyped the Uberman DNA re-sequencer in max, he actually re-sequenced it in C++.
