I like my padkontrol quite a bit, the pads feel great to me, and the x-y is great. Using korg's software is a bit of a pain though.
I have demo'ed a trigger finger in my setup but went with the Korg, simply because of the feel.
Go to your nearest music store and touch/feel 'em both.
