yes can do that but then the input into the utility plugin is still proportionate to the original channel volume (not adjustable into the utility plugin via channel fader) - so if it was peaking it wud still peak into the utility plugin but yes it cud be turned down. still not right tho!?

whether you are usin cubase, logic, live or bloody FL Studio all the audio enguine stuff is pretty much balls!!! Just try and track down some professional producers who use the products and you will realise!

pleasue! live is a step down from cubase DAW-wise, if uve spent 15 years learnin cubase then id only switch to logic!

if u hit the headphone button it wont record unless you are also pressing the play button and/or the MAIN trainsport record button

i just get pissed off cuz there seems like there is nothing to hope for - i see Live 7 and it doesnt really address anything i think needs to be implemented! they just carry on with there own little gimmicks!

yeh i wanted 2 change due to being stuck in a rut. Ableton was the best choice. It's just tiny things that annoy me. (well the BIGGEST thing being the 128 parameters thing WTF!!) very annoying!! And also when i drag a sample into the arrangement i hav no control over its ADSR without loading it thru ...

Myself I think fl studio is a total piece of shit covered with an ugly gui design and with fruit devices name to cover the smell of the worst summing bus on earth.

And the workflow is horrible.

yeh ive dabbled with that, not totally sure about the re-wire aspect or using fl as a vst tho at the mo. I havent got rid of it, i just wish ableton wud re-work live as a DAW. As i said - every1 here bangs on about how great the session view is. I dont use it at all, to me its just the mixer view ...

Live is great but things annoy me - like the piano roll window - why is it so fuckin hard to understand - the grid is just strange! hurts ...
