Hi! I wonder if anyone knows the answer to this..
I am trying to move the clip bars along with the midi notes over to bar one, at the same time. There seems to be no way to do this. I have to move first one, and then the others, in which case their alignment can easily go off.
Anybody know how to ...

Re: macro variation between clips within track? (session view)
Do you mean different variations of the same 8 macro controls? If so, Live 11 can do that. Or if you don't have 11 and want clips to have different effects on them you can set up each clip as a separate chain and then use a chain selector to move between them. Or if you want the 8 macros to ...

macro variation between clips within track? (session view)
Hoping someone can help me understand how I can implement macro variation between clips within the same track in session view.
Currently when I change the macros on one clip it changes the macros for all the clips within that track. Is there a way to change the macros for only one clip so that I can ...

Midi Captures only one channel?
Hi
I'm using an instrument that is sending midi on 3 separate channels, each channel on its own track.
I am trying to use Capture to capture this midi, but only the midi on the last channel/track triggered is captured.
Is there a way to capture the midi coming from my instrument on all 3 tracks ...

Re: how to tempo automate in real time with footswitch???
Is it the case that a 1/4" jack can somehow be mapped to midi?
Yeah, but you'll need to plug it in e.g midi keyboard that has a sustain pedal input to convert the signal to midi.
Ok this is great. Midi is mapped to my Boss Sustain pedal, which now controls the tap tempo function. It's not ...

Re: how to tempo automate in real time with footswitch???
Both should work.
Tap Tempo can start the transport (optionnaly) while Tempo Follower can't.
Tap Tempo grabs any tempo after 4 taps so you can create drastic tempi changes, while Tempo Follower is more about fluctuating around a pre-defined tempo.
Do some tests with a simple mic as a Tempo ...

Re: how to tempo automate in real time with footswitch???
I need to do it by just tapping it in to the rhythm of my playing. This is the only way I can make sure my live recording, which will contain much tempo
variation, is input along with an automated master tempo which fits perfectly.
This way any tracks I add afterwards will conform to the tempo (via ...

Re: how to tempo automate in real time with footswitch???
So if I am understanding you correctly there is no way to vary the tempo in real time recording within a song using a foot controller?
I could have sworn people have done this.

how to tempo automate in real time with footswitch???
Hi!
I am trying to find a way I can use either Tap Tempo or Tempo Follower with a footswitch to set and automate tempo in real time using my foot while recording a track with my cello or a midi keyboard.
I've exhausted my online researches trying to solve this so here I am.

Re: Metronome to cue out minus track audio?
Are you sure its an RME config issue?
It seems like in ableton there should be some way of separating the metronome and audio track streams during playback (or live).
Has anybody ever done this? Or is metronome invariably mixed into whatever track in playing?
