Yes I have selected the asio driver. There is only an output selection as asio4all manages both in's & out's as far as I am aware. I have it working in Live but I want it to work as a stand alone too.

I've downloaded the demo and I am really impressed, what a great program.

However, I am having some trouble getting my strat to run through it. I have my guitar plugged into a Kaoss Pad, then the Kaoss Pad into line-in on my soundcard. I am getting sound through the PC fine, but not through Guitar ...

How do you use your Guitar with Live?

I mainly use live for producing house music, but recently I have been getting back into playing my guitar and I'm going to hook it up to live over the weekend to see what happens.

Any cool tips or tricks you can share?

Basically you can use the send and return tracks like an external effects unit. Load it up with some effects and try sending different tracks to it to see what you get.

Yes this is a handy tip.

Understanding how both the Session view & Arrangement view interact with each other is essential to getting the most out of Live's phonomenal interface.

How do I change this? A friend of mine recently bought a second-hand powerbook with OSX. On the log-in screen where you enter your username and password, it says the name of the previous owner above. This is what I need to change.

b) Connect A Midi device to use as a controller
c) Send Live's Master out to a mixer

It has a Line Out (Front)/Speaker Out(1) & a Line Out (Rear)(2). I haven't seen anything on compatibilitie issues with either of my soundcards on the web. Asio4All see both soundcards, but ableton only see's 1&2 for outputs.
