NI Guitar Rig

Post by Westpit » Wed Jul 13, 2005 11:07 am

I've downloaded the demo and I am really impressed, what a great program.

However, I am having some trouble getting my strat to run through it. I have my guitar plugged into a Kaoss Pad, then the Kaoss Pad into line-in on my soundcard. I am getting sound through the PC fine, but not through Guitar Rig. I am using asio4all as my driver, and know that it’s working properly as I use it for Live.

Surely if I'm getting perfect sound straight through the PC from my guitar, when I open up Guitar Rig it should take over processing the signal?

Has anyone else had the same problem, or can you recommend a fix?

Thanks in advance.

I assume you have choosen asio4all as the driver for Guitar Rig too?

You can always run everything through Live (if the GR demo comes with a VST version too and not just a stand alone). That way you can record what you play too!

Yes I have selected the asio driver. There is only an output selection as asio4all manages both in's & out's as far as I am aware. I have it working in Live but I want it to work as a stand alone too.

Doh!

The line-in volume was up full, didn't even think to check that!

Cheers,
