I've already tried with Apogee Groove and Apollo twin. Its not the interface and its not the buffer size.
It happens both in last Live 11 and Live 12

Also this problem happens with only MacBook Pro output

The cpu meter in my Live sessions all of the sudden starts to peak to 100%+
This happens in some sessions and when I open a different project after that all the projects are affected. Even a blank one (with or without plugins)
I have to restart Live for it to work again.

That seems counter intuitive but im glad you solved it.
I downgraded to Monterey and im all good! Glad I had plenty of backups to cover me.

I have this same problem since upgrading to Sonoma.

im having the same problem after updating to Sonoma. any solution yet?

it also happens if I choose to open a new project after being already in one. Cpu normally stays at 14% if I load my default template but opening with this sequence it glitches from 14 to 40-60 until I quit and open Ableton again.

Im not running in Rosetta neither atm im using any controllers. Also it glitches with and without an audio interface

The buffer size doesn't matter in this case. The cpu still acts abnormally if change it to higher or lower than 256

even if I remove all the plugins the cpu meter still jumps. if I close and open live its all ok with all plugins on

I have many 3rd party plugins. they are usually all up to date. should I try to isolate the plugins? how should I do that?

Hey guys,
Im getting cpu spikes eveytime I load 1 project after another. If I quit Ableton after the second project (already glitching cpu spikes with audio glitches) the project opens fine.. Im getting this problem quite a long time ago.
