I guess but that's not what I want to do... I don't want to trigger or gate clips, I want to gate a playing track. Sorry I wasn't clear. I just got another idea; is there a way to change velocity into cc midi messages?

I got a trigger finger and I want to use pads as gates. Exemple, one track should only be heard when i press down, if the pad is released then the track is silent. In place of the usual note on/off typical of keys, I figured a note on/on was nessecary. Should I use some kind of midi translator ...

I use only Live. And its really only live. I don't use other program in rewire or vsti (except some free little synth). I do much sampling. When I used Reason in rewire my favorite way to sample was to load a pre-chopped rex in load in into a dr. rex. It was an easy way to trigger all those little ...
